... or at least my friends who care to look.
My promise is to take a picture each day to be a representation of that day in our lives.
Today was New Years Day and my plan was to get fun 2012 glasses and streamers to show how festive we are. Unfortunately my festive family was sick today and I didn't get the festive gear ahead of time so we compromised by using today's paper.

My poor sicky girl didn't want to hold the paper or give much expression so that's Andrew's hand in the corner.
The rest of the family enjoyed black eyed peas that Grandma Restivo brought over for good luck for the year ahead.

I don't like beans, so being sick I made homemade chicken noodle soup for Riley and I. It is one of her favorites and an easy way to sneak in carrots and celery. Sneaky mommy...
We also added this new lovely addition to our kitchen to encourage imaginative play. Hopefully it will also encourage her to "cook" in her own kitchen while I cook rather than chase me back and forth and hold onto my legs. I organized everything this afternoon and she lost interest in my perfectionist organizational skills and went off to do her own thing. I had fun, although realizing that as soon as she gets her hands on it the product of my beautiful efforts will cease to exist.

That's all for today, time to get in on some Scrabble with the family.
See you tomorrow, cant wait to share the year...
